mind…
“It is only when the mind is empty that there is a possibility of creation; but I do not mean this superficial emptiness which most of us have. Most of us are superficially empty, and it shows itself through the desire for distraction. We want to be amused, so we turn to books, to the radio, we run to lectures, to authorities; the mind is everlastingly filling itself. I am not talking of that emptiness which is thoughtlessness. On the contrary, I am talking of the emptiness which comes through extraordinary thoughtfulness, when the mind sees its own power of creating illusion and goes beyond.”
~ J. Krishnamurti
Sometimes you start down one path and another one opens up for you. When the idea for this project took shape some months ago a wonderful artist’s work really inspired me to design a LOT of the cards. But at some point she had misgivings about the project.
Something better resulted…
This is the working of spirit my friends. We are asked to trust the process, to follow the “flow” and see where it might lead us. And in each and every case it leads us both deeper within (discovering spiritual truths so close to home) while helping us become more compassionate outwards as well.
In this double movement there is magic. By going within and become more authentic (or rather, uncovering our authentic self) we become more connected with our world in a manner that is both more clear and more aware.
Awareness is the key.
We are all asked to unplug from one kind of “flow” to experience another kind of flow while being open to where it might lead us. And in each and every case it leads us both deeper within (discovering spiritual truths so close to home) while helping us become more a more connected and compassionate person as well.
This seeming paradox, that one must turn within in order to be more authentic with the outside world, seems an unsolvable conundrum. And yet, in this double movement there is magic.
This oracle card comes with a simple message…
Right now you are asked to simply become more aware. More aware of what you do from moment to moment, and WHY you do what you do.
Take some time to unplug, not in order to achieve any benefit or so you can reach some “goal,” but simply for its own sake.
