Clouds come in a variety of shapes, sizes, tones and textures. And they have something to say to us, depending on which Clouds you happen to see.
Dark Clouds on the horizon can give us a warning of things to come, alerting us of an impending storm. On a hot summer day Clouds can give us a welcome respite from the heat and glare of an afternoon sun, inviting us to daydream beneath their welcoming shade. And at sunrise and sunset they often serve as nature’s canvas gracing us with an array of breathtaking colors.
Their one constant feature, however, is continual motion.
Regardless of the type of Clouds you may be experiencing right now, it’s important to keep in mind that the winds of change will eventually blow even the darkest Clouds past.
“Gray skies are just clouds passing over”
~ Frank Gifford
Some questions to guide your meditation:
- How do you feel about any kind of change?
- Do you find it difficult to be patient sometimes?
- If you’re feeling “down” or “blue” what might be the root cause of your sadness?
- If your judgement is “clouded” right now what steps might help you gain some clarity about your situation?
