Reflection:
The Stork has long been associated with the arrival of a newborn baby.
Perhaps this association is rooted in their migratory return each spring, signaling a new cycle of renewal and rebirth. Or maybe their well-deserved reputation as extremely attentive and protective parents made them a fitting symbol for motherhood.
Beyond their symbolic representation of new beginnings, however, the most surprising fact about Storks is that they are “silent” birds. Rather than using calls to communicate they resort to dance and body language instead.
This characteristic underscores their deep “interiority.”
What the Stork thinks and feels is a closely guarded secret known only to a few, symbolized by their dual nature of inhabiting two different worlds — that of Air (thought) and Water (emotion).
Today the Stork comes to you to signal the start or arrival of a new project, venture or beginning. Now is the time to “prepare the nest” by putting a plan of action in place. This new beginning may involve a temporary (or permanent) change of address, but more often than not the “movement” or change in question is internal rather than external.
Remember, your “inner” world influences the “outer” while, at the same time, your “outer” world affects your “inner” thoughts and feelings. Which means that the first step in “bringing to birth” a positive change in the world is by addressing your own interior landscape.

- Have you faced your fears or concerns regarding an impending new arrival?
- What challenges do you currently face with respect to starting a new venture?
